We will begin our adventure towards the north of La Palma, crossing the Maritime Avenue of Santa Cruz de La Palma, where we can enjoy the Balcony Houses (Casas de los Balcones), one of the most picturesque places of the palm tree capital and the Famous Castle of Santa Catalina.
Leaving behind the capital we will arrive at the Galga where we will visit the mirador de San Bartolo, a spectacular viewpoint over the ravines cut by knife by erosion and the passage of time, which is surrounded by typical Canarian flora.
We continue towards the Forest of “Los Tilos”, houses one of the most important laurel forests of the Canary Islands. It is an ecosystem inherited from the tertiary period and declared a Nucleus Zone of the World Biosphere Reserve, with ferns, waterfalls and tall trees that prevent us from seeing the sunlight.
After visiting this wonderful place we headed towards San Andrés y Sauces, the little urban jewel next to the sea, with beautiful houses of the XV century, its rustic square, the Natural Pools of Charco Azul and Puerto Espíndola.
We will enter the northernmost points of the island, Barlovento, Garafía and Puntagorda, visiting the Cultural Park of “La Zarza” and “la Zarcita”, Mirador del Cerradero and famous Puntagorda market (only open on Sundays).
We will enter the western area where the municipality of Tijarafe and the Mirador de El Time, with wonderful views towards The Caldera de Taburiente, The “Valle de Aridane” and Tazacorte. To finish the tour we will take the . To finish the tour we will take the back.
